For those updating their wardrobe, The Rock and Mill Gate are the go-to destinations for layering-season style, with favourite brands like H&M, Vanilla, River Island, and Loofe’s offering the latest autumn looks.

Families can dive into the season’s fun at the Mill Gate Pumpkin Patch and free workshops (30 October), Bury Market’s Halloween Family Fun Day (1 November), and the East Lancashire Railway’s Ghost Trains (30–31 October & 1 November).
