Voluntary Membership
If you are a Bury based business who is not in the BID area, or you are in the BID area and below the threshold to pay the BID levy – you can become a voluntary member.
Current BID levy payers can also make voluntary contributions above their levy to further contribute to the work of the BID.
In line with the BID levy, voluntary membership will cost 1.5% of your business Rateable Value – or for businesses below the 12k threshold, a minimum contribution of £180 will apply.
Voluntary Membership Benefits
Voluntary members will receive BID business benefits such as:
- Invitations to BID events
- Promotion on the BID’s platforms
- Access to Visitor Data
- Access to BID Newsletters
- Access to money saving initiatives
- Access to deep cleaning
- Access to planting and lighting schemes
Voluntary members can join the BID Board as an observer, but won’t be able to vote in the BID Ballot, and the BID Board must approve all new members.
