Discover Bury Website

Bury BID produces Discover Bury – a dedicated destination marketing platform for Bury town centre. BID businesses receive a listing on the website and can be profiled across the growing ‘Discover Bury’ social media pages. Follow Discover Bury for the latest consumer information about what’s going on in the town centre.

The BID also produces the Bury BID website to ensure the Bury BID businesses are up to date with all BID activity. Follow Bury BID on LinkedIn for all the latest business news.

Services the BID provides include:

Greening & Cleaning

Planting projects and a rolling program of BID-funded deep cleaning are underway to enhance the look and feel of Bury town centre.

The BID does not replace Council services and specialist deep-cleaning carried out by the BID is in addition to the Council cleansing. The Town Centre Management working group decide which areas should be prioritised in each phase.

Seasonal & Christmas Lights

The BID businesses during the consultation process said a key priority for them was to see Christmas lights across the town centre, in addition to the privately-funded lighting schemes of The Rock and Mill Gate.

Seasonal lighting for the winter months and additional Christmas lighting schemes are underway for Christmas 2023.

Lighting will feature on parts of The Old Rock, Bolton Street, Silver Street, Market Street, Haymarket Street and Tithebarn Street.

Marketing Campaigns & Events

Bury BID is developing a number of seasonal campaigns and events all aimed at increasing visitor numbers, dwell time and spend in Bury.

The BID will keep you informed of upcoming activities via the monthly newsletter. There are lots of opportunities to encourage new customers to your business.

Netwalking will take place on the first Wednesday of the month from May through to July and offers great benefits for health and business.
