The festive season is set to sparkle in Bury as Mill Gate Shopping Centre transforms into a winter wonderland filled with magical moments, family fun, and community Christmas cheer.

With enchanting entertainment, festive workshops, charity support, and beautiful new décor across the centre, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout November and December. Here’s what’s coming up…

Magical Christmas Entertainment

✨ Angels on Stilts
Saturday 29th November, 11am – 3pm
Start the season in style as our graceful Angels on Stilts glide through the centre, spreading festive joy and giving visitors the perfect Christmas photo moment.

📚 Let’s Pretend with Emma – Christmas Storytelling
Saturday 6th December
11:00am – 12:00pm & 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Little ones are invited to snuggle up and enjoy a heart-warming festive storytime, filled with imagination and Christmas magic.

🧝 Christmas Wish & Letter to Santa Workshop
Saturday 13th December, 10am – 3pm
Children can create their most magical letter yet! With glitter, crafts, and festive fun, they’ll design a special letter to Santa that must include three special elements to make its way to the North Pole:
• Kindness to others
• A magical song and dance
• Christmas cheer

❄️ Meet Inka the Polar Bear
Saturday 20th December, from 11am (3 x 30 min appearances)
Inka, our life-sized friendly polar bear, will be making magical appearances to meet families, pose for photos, and delight visitors of all ages.

This year, our Christmas makeover includes brand-new festive decorations! Look out for:

🎀 Gift Wrapping Service – Bury Blind Society
11th–24th December
10am–4pm Monday–Saturday | 11am–4pm Sunday
Perfect for those who want beautifully wrapped presents without the hassle!
Basic wrap: £1.50
Luxury wrap available at an additional cost.
Donations accepted by cash or card, with all proceeds supporting the Bury Blind Society.

Greater Manchester Police will be joining us to share helpful advice on avoiding online scams during the festive shopping season.
