Curious Cases: an Afternoon Tea Mystery - East Lancashire Railway

Time to exercise those little grey cells on a quaint midday marvel (or should that be Marple).

You’ll embrace the vibe of classic British whodunnits on board East Lancashire Railway’s Pullman style carriages. Ponder perplexing puzzles as you savour every crumb and clue to a mystery that is perfectly paired with an afternoon tea. Let the unhurried rhythm of the rails set the pace as you examine the evidence in a most curious case, aided and abetted by characters from the award-winning After Dark Entertainment.

This experience is exclusively diesel-hauled. Alongside the mystery you will enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, a savoury, cakes and a scone, served with Strawberry preserve and clotted cream. There will also be unlimited tea and coffee to sup whilst you sleuth, as well as a number of herbal, fruit and specialist teas.

Boarding commences 30 minutes prior to departure at 12:30pm where you will welcomed and advised of your table number and carriage. The journey lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

The dress code is casual, although we do encourage dressing in relation to the theme.
