Comic Con Returns to Bury: Free Town-Wide Celebration Confirmed for 29 June 2025
Bury Comic Con is back! Following the huge success of previous years, this much-loved event returns on Sunday 29 June 2025, promising a FREE, town-wide celebration of pop culture, fandom and fun.
Organised by Bury BID, supported by WOW Events, this year’s Comic Con will once again transform the town centre with immersive zones, family-friendly attractions, market traders, creative workshops, and some very special guests – including none other than Peter Davison, the Fifth Doctor from Doctor Who, and companions Janet Fielding (Tegan) and Sarah Sutton (Nyssa).
What’s On:
The entire town will become a vibrant stage for all things fandom, with interactive zones hosted at key venues:
- Doctor Who Zone – The Fusilier Museum
- Jurassic Zone – Kay Gardens
- Comic Creator Zone – Bury Art Museum
- Movie Vehicles and Transformers Zone – The Rock (Racconto Lounge)
- Star Wars Zone – The Rock (St John’s Square)
- Cosplay Competition and Create Zone – The Met
- Trader Zone – Mill Gate Shopping Centre

Something for Everyone
Comic Con is designed for families, teens, and pop culture fans alike, with a packed programme including celebrity signings, cosplay contests, artist showcases, hands-on activities and photo ops with iconic vehicles and props. With plenty of cafes, shops and venues to explore, visitors are encouraged to make a full day of it.

Bury is also easy to reach via the Metrolink or by car, with parking available at Mill Gate and The Rock.
