Bury Food and Drink Festival 2025: A Celebration of Local and Global Flavour and Community

Bury town centre came alive once again as thousands turned out for the Bury Food & Drink Festival 2025 – a weekend filled with music, international flavours, local enterprise, and community spirit that shone through, even as the rain made a few uninvited appearances.
A Weekend to Remember
Despite some challenging weather, the town centre buzzed with energy, smiles, and the aroma of incredible food. The event kicked off on Friday night with the new Beer and Bands Night, which saw the sun shine just long enough for crowds to enjoy an evening of live music, local brews, and fantastic atmosphere. Acts including Rachel Green, Shoehorn, Sky Valley Mistress, Urban Theory, and Tom Sharma brought real vibrancy to the streets and helped set the tone for the weekend ahead.
Saturday and Sunday were all about exploring the diverse range of traders who lined the town centre streets – from sweet treats to artisan preserves, handcrafted gifts, hot food from around the world, and local drinks. Many local favourites visited, including Carrs Pasties, The Finest Fudge Co, D’Vine Dumplings, Crown & Thistle Craft Bakery, The Thai Food Van, AK Distillery Ltd, and Sip & Sparkle. New faces and small independents also made a big impression on visitors and locals alike.
A Taste of Hong Kong in Bury
One of the highlights of this year’s event was the Hong Kong Market, curated by Moliuliu’s Store. This specially themed section brought an authentic taste of Hong Kong street culture to Bury, with a vibrant mix of food, gifts, and cultural flair. It was a striking reminder of how food festivals can create moments of connection across cultures and communities.
Celebrating Local Strength
The festival is more than just a weekend event – it’s a celebration of the businesses, creatives, and hospitality venues that give Bury its unique identity all year round. Our incredible food and drink establishments, alongside the nationally recognised Bury Market, continue to draw people into the town centre week after week.
These kinds of events play an important role in driving footfall, supporting local jobs, and building pride in place – and this year’s turnout, despite the rain, proved just how valued that sense of community is.
Made Possible Through Partnership
The Bury Food & Drink Festival was delivered by Bury BID, in partnership with Bury Council, Bury Market, and with funding support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). It also relied on the enthusiasm, support and generosity of town centre businesses, venues, and the local community.
Looking Ahead
With strong attendance, positive trader feedback, and glowing coverage in local press and radio, the Bury Food & Drink Festival 2025 has once again proved the value of investing in town centre events that bring people together.
More images and stories from the weekend will be shared over the coming weeks – but for now, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
