BID Funded deep cleaning begins
Parts of The Old Rock in the town centre have been steam cleaned and the chewing gum removed.
Thousands of pieces of gum were removed, and there will now be a maintenance programme in place to keep the area gum free. The BID has also asked the Council for its help in finding a solution to the defacing of the public bins on The Old Rock with stickers, the BID will keep you updated on this. The deep cleaning of The Old Rock forms part of a rolling programme of improvements to make the town’s visitors welcome. The chewing gum removal and deep cleaning will be delivered on an ongoing basis across the town centre.
