Come to The Met and be treated like a star!

Our popstar parties put you and your friends centre-stage with a VIP-style recording session in our state-of-the-art music studio.

Enjoy a drink on arrival, take part in a photoshoot with a professional photographer, then record your chosen song with one of our professional studio engineers. As a memento of your experience, we’ll provide you with a fully mixed-down version of your recording and your photos at the end of the session.

This is an amazing, fun and memorable experience for individuals and groups of all ages and musical abilities. Sing your heart out and be treated like a star!

Frequently asked questions

What will happen during my Popstar Party?

Prior to the experience we will contact you to find out which song you wish to record.

On the day of the experience you will be welcomed to The Met by one of our staff who will help you to feel at ease. They will give you a short tour of the arts centre, you will have photographs taken, and then you will be brought to the recording studio. There you will record the vocals to your song with guidance from a studio engineer. Don’t worry if you’re not a professional singer – we can record several takes of your vocal, and apply effects to it, to help give a professional-sounding result.

At the conclusion of your Popstar Party we will upload a digital copy of your recorded track for you to keep and enjoy.

What’s the minimum age to take part?
The minimum age is 8.

Can I cancel or reschedule my session?
Bookings are non-refundable. Sessions can be rescheduled, however please give at least seven days notice for this otherwise you may incur a charge.

What happens in the event of bad weather?
Your Popstar Party will take place indoors and so will not be affected by the weather.

How long does the experience last?
Your Popstar Party will last for ninety minutes, during which you will record one song.

I want to book a party for my friends and/or family. How many people can take part?
You can book a Popstar Party for up to four people. If you wish to bring more people, please contact us to make a special arrangement.

Can I bring my friends and/or family to watch?
You are welcome to bring up to three non-participating people to watch and encourage you.

Is there a dress code?
We don’t specify what you must wear, and advise you to dress comfortably.
